Meet Dr. Britt Ihrig, a compassionate veterinarian at Willamette Valley Animal Hospital in Gladstone. Originally hailing from the Chicagoland area, Dr. Ihrig has called the west coast home since she was 18 years old. Her journey to veterinary medicine took an unconventional path, starting with her work as a marine biologist followed by over a decade as a software engineer in Silicon Valley. However, her passion for science, service, and animals eventually led her to pursue her DVM degree at OSU Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in June 2021.

Since joining WVAH of Gladstone, Dr. Ihrig has dedicated herself to providing exceptional care to her patients. With a keen interest in merging her passions for science and service, she approaches each case with dedication and compassion.

Outside of her veterinary practice, Dr. Ihrig enjoys exploring the world with her husband Mark, attending live music concerts, and indulging in her love for roller skating. As a devoted fan of the Portland Thorns, she relishes the excitement of attending matches at Providence Park. At home, she cherishes the company of her two senior kitties, providing them with the same love and attention she offers to all her patients.
